Is It True

The Bible is under constant attack by those who hate its precepts. From the devil in the Garden to the common hellion of our day, the Bible has been degraded and despised by not a few. So, is it really the Word of God? Note the following proofs of the inspiration of the Bible.

The Bible is unified from cover to cover. It was written by forty men over a period of fifteen hundred years, using three different languages, and covering hundreds of topics. All of this was accomplished without any errors and the writers all wrote with the same triumphant theme.

The Bible is the only book in the world that can change the vilest person on earth to a sanctified one, with heaven as his/her home. The Hebrews writer wrote: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints an marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

The last count of New Testament manuscripts was well over 6,000. No other book in the world has as much evidence to be in print as the Bible. Many of the historians both the time before Christ and the centuries following that have had their works translated into English and other languages do not have near this many manuscripts. In fact, some of their works were translated from only one remaining manuscript in the language in which it was written.

The Bible has more proof of its source than any book on the planet. Its glorious words ring across time, land, and sea to bring the glad tidings of good things to all men. It has endured the hatred of men and ravages of all manner of infidels. The Bible has stood the test of time. The words of God will last forever (1 Peter 1:25)
